back to school

first day of classes today. frytz, geric, and i went to dlsu yesterday to change sections for at least objectp, since we were under the impression that 'fatass' would be our prof in that subject otherwise. we found out that this was actually not the case, so we watched bridal shower since we'd met up. although the movie was still a far cry from the standard i'm used to, it was at least much better than crying ladies, which the three of us had the misfortune to watch the day before. for the record, i have no idea how it won best picture at the filmfest awards.

some company had mailed me that i had won a watch worth 2,000 pesos, "absolutely free" so i dropped by metropolis to check that out. at least they kept their word and gave it to me with no strings attached, but then they made me fish a raffle coupon out of a box and i somehow won the "jackpot prize". this turned out to be a kitchen showcase worth 120,000 pesos... provided i'd buy one of their promotional items, the lowest-priced of which was 30,000 pesos.
