easy come, easy go
i'm officially broke again - i spent all of my first paycheck on new shirts from anonymous and artwork [what can i say - i love shirts with witty commentary]. i used to look down on the lifestyle of yuppies, thinking "god, these people blow what little they have on the first thing that comes along". of course i don't think that way anymore, now that i'm one of them.
i was walking through artwork pointing out to my sister, "frytz has that shirt... geric has that shirt... frytz has that shirt too..." so i got two shirts for myself. so there. she got one that says "boys are stupid throw rocks at them". nice.
we ate linner at subway. hey, if brunch can exist, then so can linner. anyway, i didn't eat breakfast so i wolfed my way through two footlongs. i regret that now, but it's been a long time since i've eaten at subway so i was still pretty happy the first hour or so after.
while running from store to store, i suddenly realized [with help from the more-than-occasional
lord of the rings poster] that the last movie i really watched was the
matrix revolutions. a lot of people are saying that both
crying ladies and
bridal shower are excellent films, but i neither have the time nor the remaining funds to see them. i did watch
crouching tiger, hidden dragon on vcd the other day, which was ok i guess, except i thought that the ending really sucked. the battle choreography more than made up for it though. my sister and i were even comparing the various weapons and fighting styles to those in
diablo ii. forgive us our addictions as we forgive those who have their own sad dependencies.
my cd-rom finally gave up the ghost, so i'll probably replace it with a dvd-rw. that way i'll never have to sit through another cinema-recorded pirated vcd ever again. luckily, i managed to copy both
diablo ii and
final fantasy vii to my virtual cd-rom drive, so i'm still good.
studio 23 just finished airing
the magical legend of the leprechauns or whatever the too-damn-long title really is. i caught it first on hallmark but watched it again anyway [although it really isn't good enough to repeat over and over], but more for the irish dancing than the story. the theme song was good too.
i have an 8am church meeting tomorrow so i might as well wrap up, even if i can already tell that i'll oversleep and miss it anyway. such is life.
