curve balls
i woke up late this morning. not that i was dying to attend theocom or anything, i guess it's just the principle of the thing. anyway, it was lightly drizzling so i didn't bother to wear rubber shoes or anything, just dress in black. naturally by the time i made it to the gate, the rain had picked up exponentially, prompting me to take a trike out. since i was now five pesos short of jeep fare, i had to break down a
ninoy at the local 7-11. amazing how they don't have enough bills to match five hundred until you mention that you'll buy an umbrella as well.
in any case i was one of the first few people to enter the fx on queue, which meant waiting for nine other passengers. to top things off, the driver suddenly noticed a swarm of
kotong cops while halfway down the skyway ramp so he had to back up two hundred or so meters and take the buendia exit. then we went for a fifteen-minute joyride just in case the cops had noticed his disappearing act.
anyway i got to school with just enough time to realize that our introdb mp required major rehashing and that there was a graded mock test in theocom so i couldn't cut class [rels was out of the question - attendance is part of the grading scheme]. i opted to take the test, which turned out to be a mistake since it wasn't graded in the end. rels was an unexpected pick-me-up since sir galo gave my group a 95 for our report. i may get that exemption yet.
the next hour or so we were scrambling to update the mp [turns out we only had two-fifths the number of deliverables]. that is of course until ms tangkeko moved the deadline to tomorrow noon. thank bj for that. the bad news is that i had told karl that if i had more time i would've done a better job. now i guess i have to, since i told him that. owel.
curve balls.
i like it when life throws me one. even if i miss my swing. even if it hits me in unmentionable places. after a while routine just gets to you.
