renz tells me that levi sometimes searches for his students' names online in the hopes of finding their blogs. sneaky as he is, he won't find mine, unless he plans on sifting through 84,200 references to indian managers and ceo's. there's an ice cream with my name on it, for crying out loud. now, on to business:
i. serendipity
bj is yot's crush's ex-girfriend's best friend's significant other.
ii. spontaneity
met up with anna after bunny's birthday bash. two ice teas [and a red horse for me] later we were on a bus to robinson's place, where we proceeded to watch feng shui. she calls it spontaneity; i call it manipulation. i can't believe i wasted 250 pesos on movie tickets and a bag of cookies [even if they were mrs field's]. or that i have so much opportunity to spend time and money on women i don't intend to court, compared to those i do.
iii. bad luck
i liked the premise of the movie [victims' deaths are somehow related to their chinese zodiac] but as usual the execution was severely disappointing. the only thing horrific about it was how badly they mangled the production. at the very least, they could have picked actors whose capabilities extend beyong acting patronizing. and they could have done without the obvious product placement - if they were going for the crying ladies effect, they should know that there's a big difference between ludicrous and simply annoying. the dialogue also revealed too much. it's a letdown that a relatively intelligent plot was dumbed down by a script that left nothing to either imagination or logic centers. oh, and the ending was portrayed too weakly. no excuse for that.
iv. worse luck
my dad and i picked my mother up from work but as we were about to pull out, the car suddenly refused to start. since the taxi stop was on the mckinley-edsa intersection and there were no jeeps in transit after 8 [this was around 9pm], we had decided to hoof it. except that we mananged to flag down a jeep.
wtf.
