according to what i read last week on an on-campus information board, one of the symptoms of alzheimer's is leaving objects in odd places, such as keys in an ashtray or coins in the fruit bowl. i mentioned this to my family, seeing as how they had caught me 'returning' a water jug to the stovetop, and recounted how i once put an empty kettle into the ref.

turns out my sister once poured water she heated for her bath into the toilet.
