re-orientation

i. orient1

friday was yang's birthday celebration. mostly s21 people were invited, but i was too, and so was ivan | yuki [more of that later]. matt and jen were there as well, and jen brought her tarot cards.

after eating, naturally the first order of business [over which many a disguised barb was fired, either at ivan | yuki, chudor, or pogz], the party was split into two, with half starting on the fundador, and the other half on the tarot readings.

i had my turn with jen as well, and she confirmed [for the fourth time, no less] that my "plans of treachery" would lead to "conflict, after which comes victory". the victory in this situation is unfortunately a razing rather than a peace treaty, but it's still an adventure. most probably, i will end up losing more than i gain - closure nonetheless.

oh, and when i asked for a second reading regarding my 'sexual confusion', the cards berated me for trying too hard - the first time, i merely got the answer i secretly wanted. i admit this is true - it made for a more interesting blog entry, did it not?

although i still consider this subject a pain in the ass, the first meeting wasn't as boring or as uncomfortable as i had anticipated. my section, a54, luckily had students from diverse courses, rather than the block section i had expected. the activities were bearable, and i confirmed my myers-briggs type indicator as entp. to quote:

Quick, ingenious, good at many things. Stimulating company, alert, and outspoken. May argue for fun on either side of a question. Resourceful in solving new and challenging problems, but may neglect routine assignments. Apt to turn to one new interest after another. Skillful in finding logical reasons for what they want.

the only thing missing was "...is an arrogant backstabbing zobelian bitch."

moving on, it was halfway through the lesson on value priority that i noticed that jv casio and i were taking the same orient class. the group activity was having to choose eight survivors out of sixteen candidates based on written descriptions. jv was the only one in the room who suggested considering "jeff: dlsu-manila varsity for track and field, used to be part of the dlsu green tankers" as a possible beneficiary.

but of course "maika: the 'crush ng bayan', a beautiful and happy-go-lucky college student, jeff's girlfriend" survived without question.

values indeed.

this was more of a disorientation, actually. jonat prepared food and spirits good for 20 people, but only four guests showed up. we talked about the shit that only occurs on one's birthday, and our respective stalkers and batch weirdos [in jonat's case, the same person]. i was still buzzed on tequila this morning, proof of which is the fact that i bashed myself in the left eye with my guitar.

ow.
