i thought this was a joke too, but evidently they're tying the knot on the 16th, at the st. jerome church. now if only he was marrying ms. finis instead...

my mother, her best friend, and i had dinner at pancake house in sm bicutan last saturday. they had cardboard announcement plates on the tables listing available desserts so aside from our respective main courses, we ordered a "halo-halo surprise" apiece.

we should have guessed from the price that the displays were life-size.

while serving us, the waitress apologized for the wait - they ran out of teaspoons. i don't know why they had to provide us teaspoons when we were eating out of shotglasses.
