a coup d'etat? really?
the rebels finally surrendered last night around 10pm. that officially makes it the biggest waste of 20 hours since the time i watched every
joecartoon. ok so that didn't take 20 hours, but it sure
seemed like it. technically they shouldn't even call it a coup d'etat - for that you need the support of the general populace; what they did was an act of terrorism.
i especially love senator gringo honasan's reason for supporting the coup: "ah...
kuwan... the majority of filipino people... are... uh... below the poverty line." whatever. as my dad put it: what ngo does
he belong to? what percent of his pork barrel does
he give to the poor? that doesn't even mesh with magdalo spokesperson ltsg trillano's justification for the revolt [bureaucracy in the military, fyi].
the only good thing that came out of this is that i have no classes today. no, wait. that's a bad thing. being dlsu, that means make up classes. oh crap.
saul commented on my mom's delayed reaction fried rice so i guess i should elaborate on that: it's fried rice with tabasco spam and sesame oil. so basically what happens is that you eat and eat and then 30 seconds later the tabasco kicks in and you have to douse your mouth with a couple gallons of water.
i can already tell this is going to be an extremely long day. i might as well get started on my report for philhis.

update: gma delivered her sona at 4pm. she said she'd veto any bill trying to smuggle in abortion. that's good to hear. she didn't mention anything about divorce though. in other news, zobelians will enjoy
this link.
