unicorn power

bella was kind enough to burn me a copy of the last unicorn, that cartoon movie from the 80s. as with all childhood fragments revisited, it was decidedly less awe-inspiring this time around, although the red bull and mommy fortuna's hat were both just as impressive as they were 10 years ago.

in hindsight, it was probably the ultra-mushy soundtrack that did me in. a musical's only good if you see it before your auditory tastes evolve completely. i recommend reading the book instead - it has twice the wit and a dash more wonder.
