tanjoubi omedetou!

s15 won the interblock basketball game [which i didn't foreshadow since it had been postponed twice already and so i actually wasn't expecting it to push through]. yey. we're all hoping that the scoring will be by point quotient rather than elimination because otherwise that would've been our last game. of course cheering my blockmates on meant that i was late for spo night, arriving a minute or two before the buffet table was opened [impeccable timing, as usual]. congratulations btw to pb and soyster, who won places at the litaw.

counting on filipino time, i arrived an hour and a half late for pedance. unfortunately they did in fact start early and by the time i got there, they were already running through. but i still had luck on my side since the professor in charge of the performances was dissatisfied with the current setup and 'suggested' a number of changes, including dividing the group into three, each dancing only a segment of the song [sean paul's get busy]. this would've been a relief, if not for the fact that we're performing this friday and we only have one three-hour practice slot left. good thing i'm in the last row of dancers.

lacey's debut was a lot of fun, mostly owing to the fact that her sister had tapped us [frytz, geric, loyvin, and me] into playing a few songs for her. that was a real rush, especially since we were better received than the other group who performed [although this may have been more of timing than talent]. of course after that everyone drank too much, especially lacey [duh] and frytz [duh²] and those of us still in some degree of sobriety ended up nannying those who weren't. we couldn't secure a videocam or tape recorder though, so i'll have to rely on memory this time:

"sabihin ko kay [censored] na mahal ko s'ya? ba't ko naman gagawin 'yon e hindi pa s'ya lasing? ano, lasing na s'ya? o tara!"
- frytz, while being 'cool' on the dance floor.

"uy may urinal na pala sa ladies' room... teka ba't puro lalaki kayo dito sa ladies' room!? labas!"
- lacey, who was obviously not in the ladies' room.

"act civilized - my dad's here!"
- lacey again, while being draggged out of the country club.

"i'm sorry for being so frytz-like..."
- kimber, after wrenching the sink in geric's bathroom off the wall.

there were others but these are all i can remember for now - things got a little blurry after lacey decided to throw chunks of her birthday cake at us. i feel sorry for those who came in black suits and left in white. not many regrets on my part though, just that i've let my homework pile up [as usual] and i'll probably be up half the night making up for biocol [which i had cut in favor of band practice last thursday].

well, technically that isn't a regret either.
