the twilight phone
i was out with jonat last night to watch
tmnt when he received a text message from an unknown number, informing him that banco de oro had called, and he needed to call them back. jonat doesn't have an account at banco de oro, so we were rather skeptical about the veracity of the call-back number, also given that the message had not come from anyone residing at either his home or his condo. dismissing it as coincidence, it wasn't until i got home that a more sinister angle was revealed:
hp had applied for the installation of a second landline at our residence, to which the company standard dsl package would be connected [for convenience's sake, the line should be in my name]. the unit was installed just last week, and needless to say i had not given out its number, since the older line works fine and the newer one should be work-only.
imagine, then, my sister's surprise when said newer phone started ringing, with banco de oro on the other line, looking for jonat.
sige ingat.ΓΌ
